    Huh?
    This is the PvP patch, then I take it?
    Any links to patch changes list, or equivalent?
    I'm intrigued :)

    Find the patch changes list when you start it off. As far as I know.

    - PvP Arenas. 1vs1 up to 64vs 64.
    - Ability to create coalitions of supergroups (not sure if thats in)
    - Loads of new costumes including manga types.
    - Body sliders, so you can change all aspects of your heroes body/face.
    - New badges (only know this from playing on test)

    As for new missions and what not, I am not sure.

    Maybe a stupid question, but does anybody know if PvP effects your experience? I'm pretty sure I'll have the sh*t knocked out of me when I try, so I just wondering if I'm going to run up a debt.

    no PVP doesnt affect experience at all. Arena is the big change, lots of bugs reported but they should hopefully be ironed out soon. The more noteworthy changes are:

    x Elude/MoG no longer possible to be made 'perma'
    x Instant Healing/Integration, a smaller % than previously can now be enhanced...
    x SS/SJ now have a 50% accuracy debuff (theyre tweaking a workaround to this right now)
    x Giant Monsters now fight at the same level as the hero attacking, but their xp payout seems to be a bit messed up so stay away from Luska, Adamastor etc for now

    How the hell did this thing get out of Beta?

    There are a stupid amount of bugs in the game now.

    The arena stuff really doesn't interest me at all.... so this is a really horible update.

    There are some pretty serious technical issues being caused for a lot of users....mainly the game crashing out a lot more often than it used to....other than that though the update seems fine to me.

    Maybe it is my unoffical rp server, but is it just me or does the arena seem unpopular?

    Doesn't seem to be getting much love on Defiant either....its just really tedious, PvP is rock/paper/scissors...maybe a few official tournaments will spark some interest.

    My DM/Regen can beat any scrapper of equivalent level because touch of fear makes them useless.

    Yes, it is rock/paper/scissors in 1v1. In 4v4 or 8v8 though a team can win against build that would usually trump them.

    Arena is seriously unbalanced.

    Kinetic vs Scrapper = Scrapper dies.
    Kinetic vs Tank = Tank dies eventually.
    kinetic vs Blaster = Blaster dies, unless they can get off a hold.
    Kinetic vs Defender = Even matched or stalemate.

    Controllers now.. at higher levels just dominate. Went 4 vs 2 controllers and they just annilated us. Mass spawning of pets, stun, dead.

    Noticed there is a gfx memory leak somewhere, you have to quit the program and restart to reset it (with 1GB after a couple of hours). Also the text in the enhancement manager turns tiny if you try to combine enhancements.

    Other that I haven't seen anything serious.

    The devs have always said that 1v1 PvP will be unbalanced.
    It is not too unbalanced in teams. Sure there is probably some wild combination out there that would destroy a lot of teams, but for the most part each AT has a weakness. In a team game, I have to trust my teammates to take out the blasters, otherwise I am done for.

    {EDIT}Yeah, memory leaks have been an issue for a while. There is a new performance thingy command that SuperMartin (A dev) wants people to send in. I cannot remember the command though.

    As smellyirishman notes, due to the distinct and unique nature of CoH archetypes, 1v1 inter-archetype (and even inter-primary/secondary) PvP is often down to who has the more effective mez power.

    My alt l16 DM/Regen can pound into oblivion pretty much any tank or scrapper even close to her level because she has Touch of Fear.

    It's about as fun as watching paint dry though.
