    evening,

    just wondering if there is any strong hopes for success this year by irish athletes at the world championships in helsinki. i live here and will try to go see a few random events, but wouldnt mind having a goo at some of the irish taking part, give em a cheer on.

    He won't win but Cragg will probably put up the best performance unless Sonia can (again) pull something out of the bag. They are probably the only 2 capable of reaching finals.

    I got to agree that Cragg is by far the best irish hope and hopefully get a medal. However if your going to have a look at any of the races, make sure you watch it on Rte as hopefully Jerry Kiernan is still the Panelist.

    It's Eurosport or the BEEB for me. Can't stand RTE's coverage. Perhaps we might get edited highlights during the half-time of a premiership match, so long as there's no live horse racing. And Jerry Kiernan is totally ignorant of nine tenths of athletics.

    im afraid my current location (about 10minute walk north of the stadium here in helsinki) means i cant get rté! finnish tv/swedish tv/eurosport (in finnish and swedish) will have to suffice :)

    hopefully tickets still available for the events. cheers for the tips everyone
