The remote is kindof chunky but it does work !

Hi Zap - I'm looking for exactly the same thing and across this one :

    www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=303728&cks=PRL

The reviews have not been too hot about it and I'm going to keep searching.

Demac - I didn't know about that Creative unit but it doesn't do internet radio but still a v nice unit.

    Take Care.

If you are going to go to the hassle of buying a device now I suggest going a little more expensive and getting one that plays more than MP3 and music. You can have streaming video and ripped DVDs playing over these types of devices. Just consider it. Try e-bay to get a good price. Here are ones I was looking at the netgear gets good reviews.

Also bear in mind wireless connections in houses can be unreliable. I have yet to know anybody who has a wireless home network that stays connected. It can be a minor annoyance or really frustrating depending on who you are. .

    Morningstar - Brilliant !!

I had been searching for a non-wireless solution for my house and the Prismiq unit does that. This is for my new house and am planning to run 2 Cat5 to each room.

I agree that wireless is not 100% dependable and prefer to run cable but I will have wireless present for other gadgets (wireless webcams on front and rear door)

I did run 2 cat 5 networks through my house along with coaxial network for TV. I don't use the cat 5 network that much but I do have a phone in each room and a cordless phone which I use the most. The TV network is geat and I have to connect IR to it so I can control devices from any room apparently it just is just about power freq.
If you plan on getting something it seems the best idea is to get one that plays as much multimedia as possible due to downloads of movies increasing. Many of the multimedia wireless devices have an ethernet connection too. Philips seem to be leading the way in "normal" consumer products on this you should check out their website, they are a bit expensive though.

Just found this it's less thean €55 but you need a friend in the US for the rebate. That's the best deal I've seen and if you look at reviews it gets high marks

I don't believe i've ever had a problem with my wireless network... once i got the initial dodgy drivers sorted. No dropped connections. I lose maybe 1 or 2 pings out of every thousand ish.
