Would a Barred Phone from Ireland work in the UK?

    long story short, i claimed off my insurance for a phone that was lost.. now i have the new phone and the old phone.. the old phone was barred when i lost it. would it work on uk networks, or any other network.. the imei is blocked. if i unblock it here i have to return it to the insurance company

    i donot think it will work in uk or europe. but as u said u can get it "unblocked"-just to tell u thats illegal and if you get caught its a serious fine and i heard its up to 5 years in jail.
    the best thing is sell it on ebay as blocked

    that was the plan. ebay i think is the only place to sell it.. do the networks in ireland england exchange blocked phone imei numbers? i didnt think they did

    as you have found the phone again you should check with the insurance company what steps you may need to take as you have made a claim from them against it's loss...
