The cheapest that I found in a 'normal' shop has been argos with 10 jvc for €55 or you can get 5 panasonic for €27. Both are good quality.

I got 5 Panasonic DV's for 7.50 in Lanzarote a few weeks back. Sorry I didnt get more.

Do you convert your home movies to DVD using a PC and Firewire cable? If so, the tapes are reusable with no loss of quality. Apart from that, they are by no means cheap in most high street stores. 5 or 6 quid each. Hope this helps :)

Thank for the info will check out your online link kinkstr even though I'd prefer to be able to send the guy who owns the camera to a bricks and mortar shop. He is going on holiday in June somewhere in Spain so will tell him about your price in Lanzarote Loobz ( he went there last year sometime maybe he's going back?). leuler, I hate Argos with a passion for purely personal reasons but if they're the cheapest option c'est la vie.

Kinkstr, I can't find them on the mediawrite site for 3.60. I had looked there before, they are priced without vat, when you add that and the delivery charge the cheapest ones there come in at around 5 euro. Maybe if you are buying other stuff as well, the shipping will evens out over the entire purchase.
I feel the same about argos, C Fodder, but needs must and if I can't find something checper elsewhere then I use them.
