keyboard problem

    hey, i have a compaq presario ea729, the other day the keyboard got a little messed up. when i'm hitting any letter or numer that has also got a fn key option the letter doesn't come up, just what would come up if i had the function key pressed down, anyone have any ideas what this could be?

    sounds like the fn key is stuck down. you could try removing and replacing the keyboard, failing that you may need to get the keyboard replaced

    maybe a long shot but on those machines is there any way of locking FN on?
