Bought the three seater couch version of this about a year ago (the basic leather recliner, without fridge etc) in the funirture shop in Rathgar. The sales assistant at the time told me that they stock quite a few of the la-z-boy products which they rent to property developers for show houses and then resale as second hand, despite being in near perfect condition. An example of this is that the couch we bought came in at around €900 - and before you ask - this couch is the direct cause of me rarely leaving my flat except for work..uhm well that and the surround sound + 32" widescreen...

I believe that the Rathgar store was a branch of Protea Pine (though I'm not certain), which was in the proccess of being shut down as the site was being redeveloped as a pub.

Heh, rang Arnotts - they have a "special offer" on this top of the line lay-z-boy, reduced from €2600 odd to €1790

Think I'll save myself €400 and order from that drinkstuff place.
    Thanks all.
