The only way you will get a scsi drive to work in a normal computer is if you have a scsi controller on your mother board or you have a scsi card.

Ideally you want an ultra 160 adapter and cable, new this will cost you more than a big and fast ide drive. This is the card you want http://www.dabs.com/uk/Search2/Product+Details.htm?quicklinx=VBX&searchphrase=scsi%20card and you will need a suitable cable.

You may get one second hand, but they are not too popular, since the big cache ide drives came on the scene, you tend to find these drives in large servers where scsi reliability comes into its own, have a look any ebay, for best performance you are looking for an ultra 160 controller and matching cable, Scsi cables are not cheap.

I have a WU3 controller and a couple of internal scsi cables.

These drives are more suited to servers not in a plain and simple desktop -

Is the drive a Hotplug or non plug - if hotplug you will need hotplug drive cage as termination is done this way.
If built in set the jumper to scsi id0
Regardless you will need a pci wu3 controller or u320 that is backwards compatible and thy are not cheap !!

sca to scsi adaptor - allows a 50/68 pin scsi card/cable to link to an 80 pin drive. But you still need a decent scsi controller.

scsi cables are not only not even close to being cheap they are also notoriously unreliable - if you have a problem with 50 pin scsi drives and you've checked the jumpers and termination then it's a dead cert to be the cable.
