    Anyone else visited this place - they're one of the biggest cycle retailers in the UK I believe.

    Browsed for about 20 minutes - crap selection of everything in general, and all of it over-priced. Staffed by 12 year olds. Did'nt stop them knocking out a couple of bike to unsuspecting punters while I was there though.

    Yep - I live in Blanchardstown, and Halfords in the Blanch centre is the only nearby cycle shop (next nearest one is in Cabra AFAIK). They're pretty crap OK. Their bikes have decent specs for the money, but the build quality is supposed to be very hit-and-miss. When I needed my bike serviced, I decided to give them a go anyway, because I couldn't be assed making 2 journeys to town. While it took them the guts of a week to look at it, they did a good job and they weren't expensive. But beyond accessories, I wouldn't buy stuff there.

    For bits and bobs they are grand, got a camel back cleaner system there in Liffey Valley the other day. So cheap accesories too, but I wouldn't buy a bike from them or most bike shops as it is. Good for the normal punters or kids but I think more specialist riders either use the interent or know the bike store they go to.

    they also have one out in Coolock. Dropped in to have a look at some clothing gear. Didn't really have much in that respect

    I don't know why they brought the english version of Halfords. I lived in Amsterdam before and the dutch version is a lot better. Try www.halfords.nl
    It is in dutch but easy to navigate though.
    Bike=Fiets.
    Accesories=Onderdelen.
