    Hey,

Im a 19 year old student and completed a beginner TEFl course last month. My aim is to travel alone to somewhere in the EU as soon as I get enough money together and find employment in the TEFL industry for the summer. My personal preference would be France, but to be honest I'd go anywhere if I thought there was a chance I'd get a job.

Just wondering has anyone done anything similar? Basically I want to escape Ireland for a few months during the summer and sustain myself in a foreign country.

I'd really appreciate any relavent information that anybody has.

    Thanks.

Germany is a pretty good shot for TEFL jobs. Send me a private message and I can give you some more tips, if you like. As for France, if you aren't planning on going to Paris (where there are lots of TEFL jobs), it is impossible to find work without a driving licence. Anyhow, I'll give you some leads.

Does you know when the best time during the summer to look for a job would be?
Anone have the names of any schools/ summer camps that employ short term inexperienced staff?
Is it advisable to do something like this alone? Having real difficultly convincing anyone else its a worthwhile venture but I'm pretty independant anyway.
