I think dabhoys has one of those, might be worth getting an opinion from him. Personally, I'm going to get one of these shortly, they get excellent reviews.

my condenser of choice on a budget is a Rode NT1, I picked up a secondhand one from studiosolutions.ie

They always have a list of second hand stuff going cheap so have a looks

Recording Vox mainly, as well as Trumpet, Sax, Violin and Acoustic Guitars..

I've used an SC-550. The T.Bone mics are worth what you pay for them.

Yeah? I don't need anything amazing for the minute just a decent mic, mainly for vox. Has anyone else had experience with T.Bone mics?

One of TBMC sound engineers (posts as Soundman over on the GS forum) swears by them. I think he's a little too kind, but as I said, I reckon you get what you pay for.

AKG do a couple of great mics in the €150-300 price range as well that you could look at if you still have doubts about the T.Bone. A large diaphram condensor is what you're looking for, essentially. AKG have a faultless reputation.

A guy I know bought the T Bone drum mics and he said that they weren't good.

Also, don't be afraid of Ebay! As long as you're discriminating about your seller, you can get some great deals with little or no risk attached.

Im not sure, I dont think he was comparing them to anything. He was looking at a new set (shure maybe?) in Carlow.

The Shure, Sennheiser, or AKG sets are 2 to 3 times the price of the T.Bone one.
