While doing some bonus whoring I moved some money to Bodog. The site is probably the uggliest I've seen, the interface really sucks,

BUT if you like tourneys they have some HUGE overlays. A 10K guaranteed an $8 an buy in and they had to add $5.2K. Unreal! A $32 buy in was guarnteed at $25K. They had to add $8K. Also the NL/LM ring table are very soft. Some guy tried to steal my big blind and then called my reraise with 2-5 off. Maybe he thought his cards were live.

How many players are online usually?
I haven't heard of Bodog, just wondering how safe/reputable it is.

Bodog poker are connected to a big sportsbook, so your money should be fine.

There are much better bonuses out there if that what you're chasing. Start with all the Party network sites (about 6 in total, all have 100/200 signup bounes for x5 raked), do the signusp firsts and then the additional epass/neteller bonuses (think these are x7 raked) etc. There move on to the Cryptologic monthlies (about another 6 sites, all approx x5 raked). After that there are a number of Prima sites which offer 100/200 signups for between x1 and x5 raked, they offer sporadic reloads too. Anything greater than x10 raked should be at the bottom of the list, which you'll never get to unless you play a lot (10,000+ hands a month). After that buy a few garden gnomes for your parents, brothers, sisters, friends and relatives etc.

Actually Bodog has one of the best bonuses available. They have an unlimited 20% depsoit bonus on any amount and there's no limit to how much you can depsoit with Neteller.

Player wise I'd say they're about on a par with Absolute Poker. Not all that many players in the ring games, mostly players from the US. Most people play their for the tournaments.

What are the Omaha tables like? Any link for that 20% desposit bonus and conditions before it pays out?

I used the link on the www.bonuswhores.com front page. Sorry don't know anything about the Omaha tables.

    20%, no max bonus
Must accumulate 3 Bonus Points for each $1 in bonus money
There is no current expiration date set for this promotion

They give a "bottomless bonus" of 20% on every deposit you make, so I guess it's nice for people who play there frequently. But I've no idea why you would play there.

You get one point for every raked hand in which you have contributed to the pot, and it takes 6 points to release $1 of the bonus. Assuming a V$IP of 20% thats approx x30 contributed raked hands per $10 which is about equivalent to x15 raked (at best, probable closer to x20), this works out at about $2 per table hour at .5/1 and probably about $4 at 2/4. Higher than 2/4 you may be better off with a rakeback deal. Combined with the lack of support for PT/GT+ which probably makes multi-tableing much more difficult and the low(ish) traffic that will limit your games this site definetly sucks for clearing a bonus. Well maybe not if you can play a game with an ante?

On the plus side the games are loose but then again so are most.

If you look around a little you'll find much better.

Edit: has the bonus points gone down to 3 per $1? Is so it's probably equivalent to x10 raked which makes the clearance rate marginal, combined with the other cons it still sucks:)

Great post, Decker. We need one of these for at least the top 10 poker sites, don't we? I guess it's something I could work out myself, but I'm extremely lazy.

You're absolutely right Decker, but if you have a BR to play at a high enough level then obviously clearing the bonus isn't as much of a pain. It certainly doesn't even compare to how tough the Full Tilt Bonus is. I've already done the Party Aprtil reload Bonus. Another tasty ones at the moment is the Absolute poker 30% reload.

Multitabling is difficult. 3 at the very most for me here. I could manage 5 on Full Tilt, but when I look at the huge overlays in those tournaments I just start to drool.

    Mmmmmm OOooverrrrlaaayyyy!

Of all the sites I've played on here is my list in order of preference

    Pokerstars
    Full Tilt
    Party Poker
    Absolute Poker
    Paradise
    Bodog
    Bet365
    VC Poker

Well, whatever about Bodog's terrible interface. I LOVE their tournaments. Played my first bodog tournament tonight $7 buy in 2K guaranteed with 225 players so that's an overlay of $425. Came 5th for $120.

There's Huge overlays in 10K, 25K and even 100K guaranteed tournaments on this site. If you can get over the arse inrface (which is dificult to do, beleive me) its a hell of a site for tournaments.
