passport office

    :eek: just realised my passport is out of date & going on hols on may 12th.
    gonna have to queue at passport office - can't get through on the phone line so does anyone know what time they open? and if i'm there half hour beforehand do i have a hope of avoiding all day queues??

    You still have enough time to do it with An Post they only take 10days...

    Have they actually changed the passports yet, given that they increased the price to a ridiculous amount over a year ago? Aren't they supposed to contain fingerprints or something now?

    The fingerprinting hasn't started yet and probably won't for a while. The deadline for the project in the States has been pushed back again.

    Its 10 working days with An post and day one counts as the day after you post so the OP doesn't really have time...

    feckitt i'm gonna queue, i dont trust an post - dont care how reliable people say they are, once bitten & all that...

    Bring a book :) the service is good but normally you will hand your ticket in they could say come back in 4 hours so a little light reading is good :) lso get their when it opens first thing in the morning
