I was modding my wah and the switch that turns it on and off has conked out- does anyone know anywhere in Limerick I can fix this, or is anyone here good with electrics!?!??!

    Please help.

How were you "modding" your wah pedal exactly?

I was just covering up the hole the light shines through to change the range of the wah (it's an optical wah) but the main thing is that I somehow took out the actual switch that turns it on while modding it.

I'm really desperate now, I can't believe I was so stupid.

    What make of wah?

    Try uncovering the hole?

The hole has nothing to do with the actual switch. It's a Morley Classic Wah (CLW).

One of the ones that you just take your foot off to turn off?

No, it has a seperate switch for that.

Checked the wires on the switch?

The wires are fine. The problem is that there's a switch, a spring coming from the switch, then a little box. In the box are two metal contacts. When I touch it with something metal, the light will turn on, if I touch it a second time, it'll turn off. There is a small piece of plastic with two metal ends to touch the contact. I can't seem to position it so I could use the spring switch to turn on the actual thing itself.

It's the same as any generic switch I think.

Afraid you've lost me. I'm not familiar with that sort of wah so I can't help you. Sorry

are the metal ends on the end of the plactic reaching the two metal contacts fully

How would I fix it if they weren't though?

make the metal end longer or bend em slightly

One of the wires finally came unsoldered ;_; It's out of my help now... I cried so much... I hope there's somewhere I can take to fix it. I'll spend lots of money on it to get it fixed, I don't want to loose it, I really love it.

Would music shops that repair guitars repair pedals?

You cried over a broken wah pedal???

It's doubtful if most places fix pedals. Just phone them and find out.

I don't know, I get very attatched to things. It's still very new, it wouldn't have been as sad if it had a good run. It didn't have a run. It was a nice Wah and it never got a chance to prove itself. I just find it very sad.

    It'll never know how much I loved it ;_;

If its just a broken "generic" switch and a snapped off wire surely anyplace that would repair TVs/videos/ etc could repair it? Or am I missing something obvious as usual ? :-)
