Bios Flash?

I am going to attempt a bios flash after work today as I believe my cpu temperatures are a bit off and I want to correct this before i attempt any cpu overclocking, I have been reading up on bios flashing over the last few days but any guide I've found seems to lack preciseness. I have downloaded the latest bios (1.6) for my mobo(MSI K8N Neo platinium) and there is a (read me) in there that explained how to flash but it lacks clarification. Is this the correct procedure? So I extract the downloaded bios file to C;\test and I'm running winXP so I create a DOS boot disk and I boot from this. Then I should get an A:\ prompt and I type :

    C:<enter>
    cd\test<enter>
    C:\test>awdlf783m Bios file

then I save and reboot is this correct??

    Thanks
    Richy

Does the file you download not create your bios update disk which you boot from. Dont think you need to create a boot disk.

So when I double/click on the .exe file in the bios download it should create a boot disk, anyone have clarification on that and the procedure in general.
    Thanks

No sorry looked at said readme. Needs boot disk. Extract file to c:\test(can be any folder). Boot from floppy. When a:\ prompt is on screen type c:\ press enter(or c: )

then to change directory type cd test

type the file name of the bios update...to ensure correct name type dir at the c:\test> prompt

    Reboot when prompted.

The save option is to save a copy of your old bios which isnt a bad idea.
