    My audio controller according to my device manager is not working and does not have a driver . how do i find out what driver i need for it?

    Right-click > Update Driver. If you've any discs that came with your motherboard/soundcard, insert them, or allow Windows to search the Internet.

    There are utilites listed on the stickies somewhere that can read the ID off the card or you could open up the case to see what it actually is - if all else fails.
