Just wondering if anyone has any information or experience on retrofitting solar hotwater panel(s) to their existing plumbing system.
I have my hotwater tank upstairs very close the the roof over the sunroom on the side of the house (facing southwest). I have a external immersion heater which is plumbed directly into the top of the tank (ie not into a coil) which I never use and was wondering if i could use this loop to connect to a solar panel on the roof.

No problem retrofitting solar. It's just a matter of being able to running the pipework. Ask Gandalf and Keeks where you could have bought them.
