For anyone interested there is a new lidl store opening Thursday at 9am in Tyrrelstown – near Blanchardstown, its the biggest in Ireland. They have loads of bargains on the day including a complete Analogue Satellite system For under €30 - if anyone has use for one. Its got dish, decoder etc, not sure about cables. Its not on the website but they delivered leaflets in the locality.

Were the houses in Tyrellstown not banned from putting up dishes. A friend of ine moved in there about a year ago, I'm nearly sure they're not allowed. Oh the ironing.

    You did say analogue?
Can't be much demand for that in Ireland now, surely.

Got one 3 yrs ago from lidl and it was a bit crap. Only 4 stations in English (CNN,Bloombery, BBC1 and MTV)
But I got a dvi card from Europeonline.com for 70 euros and got 700kbs internet access downlink for a tenner a month with the dish and with a bit of dish moving was able to pick up some digital stations also with the dvi card- couldnt find apparently available bbc stations - just lots more foreign stuff. but was fun to get working.

    -edit. typo-

Ozmo, where do you get the internet access?

    www.Europeonline.com 760kbs starter kit.
you need a modem also for the uplink - I used isdn, then netsource broadband, - but 56k modem is what most folk use.
