I think they have actually charged people - you better hope that they wont charge you because you will be paying a buttload!

Eircom have been charging Business Broadband Customers for a while, it was my understanding that eircom are to start charging all heavy users ?

So i think you better have deep pockets this month :)

Im an Eircom business user for 17 months and have never been charged for going over the limit, which is every month since I was installed. Where are you getting your information blitz?

    ROFFLES

    That's a sweet amount of downloadage :D

And that new UI looks nice and fancy... Bet it will confuse the hell out of a lot of people

And no, my stats page has not been upgraded. It's show the amount for this month, which is 97%, and the amount for 3 months previous, but is not telling me my "download allowance" nor am I seeing any UI... so.... no download allowance? I've got some serious downloading to do!

so yeah, maybe it HAS been upgraded...

Ok, so, when you have the UI up and the month selected, it shows:
Session Start Time Session End Time IP Address Time Online Bytes Uploaded Bytes Downloaded

this was it seems I can keep track of all the times I've been disconnected.... as it's been happening A LOT lately. On the 19th of april I was disconnect 53 times with intervals of about 5 minutes. Has this been happening anyone else? Today alone I've been disconnected 21 times. That's particularly bad, and some days I get disconnected only 5 times over the course of a day. It is not THAT annoying, because I'm reconnected within about 5 seconds... are eircom trying to piss me off on purpose? or is this most likely a fault with my line.. o.o

I should really start a new thread for this...

    Edit:
I hosted the image to allow a thumbnail and full sized view.
The small green rectangle is the 16GB eircom officially allocated!!!!!!!!!!!

Blitz if you can produce an eircom bill that proves business users get charged for going over the limit I'm sure we would all love to see it. Until then stop posting misinformation.

And wheres your evidence that i am providing misinformation, untill you provide me with adiquate proof that i am putting up false information give me the benifit of the doubt.

    I

A.) Do not have permission to post up bills on behalf of a company

B.) There is certain security issues when posting up billing information

so untill the time that you provide me with information that says im Lieing (which i am not) i am telling you to sod off making accusations if you have nothing to back it up with.

I think what he was getting at is that you implied it was some sort of widespread thing or policy that cap enforcement applied only to business customers, in which case he was right in saying where you got your info from, and a bill for you would not contain such policy.

He isnt doubting that you have been charged perhaps, he is asking for proof that many business users are being charged while residential are not, based on the package.

    LOL.

Listen Blitz(muppet), Eircom have not been charging Business broadband accounts, I can attest to this personally and from reading this forum for the last year so can many other Eircom Business users.

Am i the only Business customer out of 1000's who have not been charged, geez i feel lucky, or maybe Eircom havent charged 99% of its customers for going over the limit. hmmm you think?

The recent hardware upgrades and software (improved accountability in download stats) would mean that customers can now be charged accurately for going over the limit.
    Good luck!

    It is what it's.

    Fair play to you.

I hope the ISP's(BT/Eircom) just forget about charges for exceeding the CAP by a couple of GBytes.
But going 140GBytes over the CAP is a bit much.

For those on UTV......cheaper isnt always better!!!
