NTL BB speeding up in June

    "We have (literally) just released to the press that from June 1st the
    speeds will increase as follows:

    300k moves to 1Mb and stays at EUR25 per month
    750k moves to 2Mb and stays at EUR35 per month
    1.5Mb moves to 3Mb and decreases to EUR45 per month"


    I got this from NTL BB product mamager today :D:):D

    not sure, I guess where the already supply cable BB, their using netgear equipment,..my son was offered a wireless installation as he had a problem
    getting BB into an attic room last week!! see here
    they had one free wireless trial to fill but it's for a laptop and my son has a desktop so no dice :(

    As in wireless to the home or wireless from the cable modem to the PC?

    They way they explaned it to me was, they had 20 wireless kits to install as a working trial, 10 of which had PC based wireless cards and 10 with cards for laptops both installations use a netgear wireless modem connected to a NTL
    outlet some where in the house.

    That's not wireless broadband, it's more of a 'wireless home network'*
    You still need cable for the service - that ain't wireless.

    *actually it's more 'wireless neighbourhood network' if it isn't secure :D
