Printer for SOHO

Okay I have an old Lexmark Z33 inkjet printer. It doesn't really meet my needs, I got it as a freebie with Dell system a couple of years ago. I'm running a business from home now, so I need a professional quality grade printer.
I'm looking to replace this, probably leaning more towards laser than inkjet. I'm not too happy with cost of inks I've paid. Get a couple of months from the cartridges: 2-3 from Black cartridge, and 4-5 months from colour.

I would like availability colour for better looking documents. I'd like a duplexer unit for reduced filing requirements. I may look at one of the all in one yokes. I bought a HP scanner which I had to return as it shipped with Euro plug and wouldn't work here. I did see mention of a HP 7410 OfficeJet but again it's an inkjet.
I'd like Ethernet on the printer, as there are other computers. Actually, could be printing from Unix too, so that would be another, low priority requirement.

Anyone here got any references to running costs? I'm not necessarily going to go with cheapest option, this is not a home printer.

    Anyone got any recommendations?
    TIA

PS About 15ppm print speed would be good. I'll look for comments about the consumables in the archives. And photo quality printing is not required.

PPS for a combi, I'd like a document feeder on scanner/copier.
