SF is a fantastic place - so diverse.
Alcatraz really is a must see... spend time just riding the cable cars around.
Coit Tower is another must see.
Perhaps rent bikes out and cycle around Golden Gate Park.
Go along JFK Drive (I found a statue for Robert Emmet here!).
Dont forget to check out Haight And Ashbury.
    Pier 39 and Fishermans Wharf.
A trip to SF wouldnt be complete without walking down Lombard street - the worlds curviest street! And the streets all over have such an amazing steep gradiant... its a tough walk sometimes!
Ghirardelli Square - a chocoholics dream...

So many other places to see....

If you have any interest in sport go to a baseball game at PacBell.
Even if you don't have an interest in sport the stadium is brilliant.

do the alcatraz by night tour, its a bit longer and definitely worth it. The views on the way over are amazing.

Other than that got to Golden Gate Park on a sunday morning, get stoned and listen to the drummers on hippy hill. Lombardi street is cool, SF rocks, enjoy!

    Great city, Enjoy it.

Walk the golden gate bridge (free)
Eat in the cheesecake factory overlooking union square (do it on their terrace at night if you can).
    Ride a tram
Go to Harry Denton's Nightclub (30 stories in the air with spectacular views of the city)
    Eat at Norma Jean's Diner
    Alcatraz is a must
you can alco get a Bay cruise which brings you out under the bridge.

    Hi everyone!

Does anyone know what are the chances of getting work in San Fran for the summer without a visa. I would be willing to do anything, but where do I start!!!

    Help needed! Thanks

Without a working visa you have no chance of getting a job as it is illegal. Any sensible employer would not hire you without one as they could be heavily fined for doing so without you having the correct paperwork.

Like most things....what you do is at your own risk.

    Not necessarily the case

There are always people who will employ illegals, in construction, bars, restaurants, child care, cleaning hotel rooms etc

OP - Would you fit any of those categories ?

Your best bet is to go over and see how you get on.

BTW. This is the wrong form for the OPs question, plus they have dug up a 4 year old thread to ask it.
