just wondering if this bike falls into the 'Moped' A class of the driving license.
it has gears and is a racing style bike , but is 50cc and therefore small enough....

    any help would be great..

    cheers

    M licence: < 50cc and max speed <45kmph
    Ever seen a RS50 do _less_ than 45kmph??? :D

There was a report in the Irish Times a few weeks back that this little loophold will be eliminated, because a PTW is not the same as a car. A rider needs a higher level of awareness to survive on the roads.

never seen a RS50 do anything besides look nice on the internet....

just to clarify, it doesn't go in the M category??

thought i might get it without doing a test cause i have a full license for a car.

the quote i got on hibernian.ie matches the quote for my virago so id say its defo group2

definiton of a moped legally is less than 45k or 29mph
rs50 max speed is 55mph iirc

is the insurance group related to the license category...

will i be able to get a full license for a RS50 due to the fact that i have a full category B license??

sorry if this is getting annoying...
