    Check it out here.

Is it saying it's going to be able to show 3D movies or did I just read it wrong?

    you read it wrong

Its holographic storage technology, nothing to do with holographic imaging or movies

and this news is around 6 months old! but it wont show 3d movies tho!

A pity, but this technology is ready but we wont see it for ages coz of blu-ray and the like. They have to come out first. The money they would lose would be huge if holographic discs came out now.

Ok, still cool though. Instead of Season box sets of TV shows they could just put the whole thing on one disc. Think of the portable music options too! Although perpendicular HD's are on the horizon too. Click here

No, the seasons will just be of higher quality. HD or UHD or something

OMG, Click that link NOW! It has to be one of the saddest/funniest things I've ever seen! Brings to mind that educartoon about congress that Bart and Lisa watch on the Simpsons, but cheesier!

Holographic storage able to hold terabytes is about 30 years old. It's the technology of the future, for as long as anyone can remember.

It's targeted at Corporate America™ and was most likely produced by an American marketing firm.
