Best Ps2 games

There have been many great ps2 games in the past few years. san andreas is just one of the many great titles. I think Ace Combat5: The Unsung War is the greatist flight sim game yet. Tons of planes, great story and great movie scenes. You can't go wrong. For me it rivals gta.

Final Fantasy X: The best RPG of this generation
Katamari Damacry: Just played it this weekend. Too short but it was the most fun I've had with a game in a long time
ICO: Amust have. Stunning to look at and play
La Pucelle tactics, Disgaea, Phantom Brave: The best strategy RPGs since FF tactics
Devil May Cry 3: Unbelievably hard but still excellent. huge improvement on the first game
Gradius V: One of the greatest shmups ever made. Put away those 2D predjudices and buy this game!

I've forgotten loads but those are the first that spring to mind. check my reveiws for my thoughts on all the PS2 games I've beaten (and in the case of FFX-2 given up on).

Pretty plain and uninspiring collection I know but man I bought a ps2 just for those games.

You don't need to know what what it is. You just need to know that you must buy it. You could pigeon hole it into action adventure. I'd describe it as one of the most beautiful games ever were you guide a girl around a castle solving puzzles.

Surprisingly brilliant isn't it. despite the Disney characters the story is excellent and really deep and it's probably the most challenging game on the PS2 that isn't called Devil May Cry or Viewtiful Joe.

mgs2 was good but had prolems with mgs3. Mostly it was the fact the game takes place before snake is born and its still called a sequal. i hate sequals like that movie or game. Other than that mgs3 was ok

A sequel set before the original is called a prequel :rolleyes:
They don't have to be bad; but it doesn't make sense to have more moves in the past than in the future, does it...

Gitaroo Man is probably the game I have enjoyed most on the PS2. Picked it up in GAME for €7. Best value ever.

Don't get Second Sight. I know it looks good but its got some very big prolems. To start off no pause function so you have to keep playing until you die to get to the main menu. Second the plot is very confusing even after you beat the game. and fillally the gameplay is a rip-off of mgs you spend most your snecking around vents in 1st person.

psiops mindgate conspiracy is a good stealth action game and timesplitters 2 and 3 are good action games with loads of offline mulitiplayer maps or challenge modes very fast levels to play against bots or another player.

Any of the Tony Hawks (although Underground ones are a bit too Bam Magera for my liking. Old School 3 and 4 anyday)
Stuntman, a very guilty pleasure of mine. Tough as hell though. Great course maker.
I'm just playing through Ico at the mo, but it seems to live up to the hype.
