help with GX25 MMS settings

Does anyone have the MMS settings for the Sharp GX25?

I have tried the vodafone site and they only show settings for wap and email. I called vodafone and they told me they couldnt text msg me the settings on this model and I would have to get them from the website. When they finally agreed they weren't on there they said they could fax them to me. I asked them if we could run through the settings over the phone and they said they could only fax them. I don't have a fax so I asked them to email them to me. She said she couldn't as she couldn't email to an external email adddress outside the building - which is hard to believe! Is this 2005?
Then she said that maybe she could borrow somebody elses email !!! but so far no mail has arrived.
Can anybody help? I have tried the settings on the sticky. I can receive pics but I can't send.

Might sound like a stupid question, but what type of phone are you sending to?
It seems Sharp GX25's if sending to Nokias, can only send to a Nokia 7650

i know it seems crazy, but this is direct from the Sharp Mobiles website!!

I've tried sending to another Sharp but get an error status "network communication error". Error info from server "unknown subscriber".

Only thing I can think of, is size restriction
Take the lowest quality pic u can and smallest etc etc and try sending it....something about 10kb

Well, i've tried everything. I finally got the settings faxed thru from vodafone, tried the smallest pic but no joy. still getting the error message "unknown subscriber". Any more ideas? Could it be something at vodafone's end? or is the phone faulty?

Probably a bit late to ask now, but did the phone not come from Vodafone in the first place?

They are the only company doing it here, which means it should have been set up for GPRS and MMS etc straight out of the box. Basically, if it wasnt, go back immediately, tell em all the trouble you have been through and demand another one!

I got it from a vodafone shop. I've been back once and they were the ones who told me to contact vodafone to get the settings. Looks like i'll have to go back and demand a new one. A colleague from work has one and it worked straight out of the box for her. Just my luck, huh! Thanks for help anyway.

    No problem
Just sorry I couldnt help, but it seems its a problem handset, especially considering your friend also got one and it worked right away. Don't forget to come back and let us know anyway.
    ;)

Finally!! It works. The problem could have been solved weeks ago if vodafone had only checked my profile the first time i called them.
Nothing wrong with the phone. It seems that when i switched to contract 3 years ago from pay as you go my profile was never updated. That was 2 phones ago! Anyway, they changed it in a few seconds and i'm happily mms-ing.

    Great stuff!
Very annoying though that they didn't spot it at the start
