i've got an 9 gb movie file that i'd like to stick onto a 4.7 GB DVD. I can watch it using alcohol but want to delete the image due to space constraints but not lose the movie..
is there a simple way to do it?

Burn it onto a 9gb dvd or rip it to Divx.

    Try 'DVD Shrink'

Extract the DVD files then use Nero Recode or DVD Shrink to make them small enough to burn to a 4.7Gb DVD.

if you can extract the files to a folder, compress the film with dvdshrink and save it to another folder

you'll need about 10 gig of free space, extract, then delete the original nrg, then compress to a different folder

    edit- doh bet too it

edit edit lol so was fitzdragon

    thanks for your suggestions guys,
i mounted the image onto virtual drive using alcohol,
then used dvdshrink on the mounted drive to reduce it to fit on standard size dvd, brill!
