They were travelling in a Volkswagen Golf when it went out of control and crashed into a parked lorry between Hanlon's Corner and Aughrim St, where the North Circular Road meets Prussia Street.

Thought I heard on the news that the driver had been banned or something and judging by the wreckage they were doing a lot more than 50Kmph when the hit that truck on the other side of the road. But can't find any reference to it. Anyone else annoyed by the way stories disappear once they are more than a day old.

Would be nice for a site to have the resolution of all the traffic stories later on - kinda like on this day last year - and here is what the accident report/court said about it - that way instead of shock news and speculation , we'd get the rest of the story later on.

Agreed Cap'n. This was no accident. 3 dead and 1 critical involving a stationary truck on the opposite side of the road in a 50km/h area. something was seriously wrong here but it's just reported as another accident and that's the last you'll here of it.

It wasnt the driver, it was the guy who survived who was banned for 5 or 10 years I think for wreckless driving/speeding. Apparently they all liked their fast cars.
