i seem to have a problem using verbatims in my cdr drive - maxells and phillips and memorex are fine, altho i know verbatim are seen as the best make. are datawrite cds any good, or any alternative to verbatim??

have you ever thought of updating your drives firmware ?
if the verbatims are newer and faster a firmware update might do the trick . PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH FLASHING FIRMWARE (as this can totally break the drive )
