Problem with NWN expansion install

I've just picked up the two expansions of NWN, the Shadows of Undrentide an Hordes of the Underdark on budget but I have problem trying to play them. I keep getting a "Please insert the NWN play disc"

I've tried useing the install disc, the NWN play disc the expansion disc etc. I've tried everthing but nothing seems to work

Any Ideas?

Is this the first time you've installed Neverwinter nights in any form? I got the same error for a while after an uninstallation screwed up and left little traces in the registry, it took me ages to track them down and delete them all...

I've had NWN installed and running for ages. Never uninstalled it. I've just got the two expansions and tried to install them but they keep saying to install the play disc. I think it has something to do with CD copy protection and my DVD/CD-RW drive

have you tried installing the 1.65 patch?

This looks like a similar problem to what you're having...

I know there is 3 different 1.65 patchs depending on witch mods you have installed. I just picked up the expansions also on budget but havent gotten arround to installing them so i may also have similar problems when I do. I think Thaed has had a lot of expierence installing the mods i`ll ask her what the story is.

The expansions become the play disc for the game once they have been installed.

Patching it up to 1.65 seems to have done the trick. Will let you know when i actually get around to playing the expansions

In some cases, a windows update is needed.
It was listed as a known bug in the readme.
