Heading to Glasgow for the May bank holiday weekend and im trying to find out just what there is to do?
What can be done in a weekend?
    What sights/places to see?
How do the prices compare to Dublin?
    Nightlife?

I went there about 2 years ago and had a great time. I found it to be a very cool city. I was meeting a good friend so that helped. I went over with herself for 4 days but we spent the first 2 days in Glasgow and the next 2 in Edinburgh which is only 45 mins or so by train away.

Glasgow has changed in recent years and there is a good nightlife there. I think its the West side you need to head over there. You'll find nice restaurants etc easily enough although I can't remember the names. We stayed in the Holiday Inn which was reasonably cheap at the time.

I don't think it was as cheap as a place like Liverpool but I can't remember it being more expensive than here. If you have already booked hotels etc you could do a day trip to Edinburgh, if you haven't maybe try and stay a night there. I believe Loch Lomond (I think) is a nice spot not far outside the city.

Was in Glasgow before christmas. Nice city...

Didn't really get to see any sites as it was a 'lads weekend'...

Get down to Sockiehaullie (sp?) street. Thats where all the bars etc are.... Jumping Jacks was a good nightclub. They have dancers and entertainers etc there... really good fun. The DJs were dressed up in batman and spiderman suits etc and messing etc with the dancers and interacting with the crowd... At the end of the night all the bar staff do this cowboy dance routine... excellent stuff. well worth the visit...

You'll have a great time there.. enjoy

How about shopping, much doing in the line of clothes?..work out much cheaper than here or does the exchange rate screw us over?
