I see Davids Lad is heavily fancied for the first race(2.00) at 2/1 but Native Beat is looking good at 9/1. Cheers.
I also like the look of The Boys in Green for the 5.30. Its his course Length and Ground and Tony McCoy is on him. Nicely weighted at 10-9 which his form suggests he likes. Currently 13/2.

Moscow Flyer goes out at 3.10. Wouldnt ya love to have a grand on the nose!! :D

Its not having the balls, its having a grand to throw away
I would definatly love to be in a position like that.

Central House is at 16's, best of luck if you backed it

While I hate recommending these, I see that Callow Lake has dropped from 14/1 to 12/1, 10/1 and is now at 9/1. The form doesnt hint at anything special, but his only wins in the last 2 years have come on Good/Yielding. The ground today is rated Soft.
    A coup?

    Callow Lake 3.10 e/w
    Simply Gifted 4.20 e/w

Paddypower is offering 4 places on each of those races.

    Fine then... Two tips?

    2:00 - Levitator NAP
    4.10 (Lingfield) - Franklins Gardens

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

I'll hop on that two tip bandwagon. I also like Jimi's 2 so i'll be original and plump with

    2.35 Punc - Mrs Wallensky
    3.40 Lin - Andronikas

    Some each way fancies:

2:35 Mags Benefit @ 16/1 - an improving sort who is only 5 and landed a nice gamble at Ayr last time, I think Blazing Liss is poor value, I get the feeling he's a horse that doesn't always give his all.

4:55 The Cool Guy @ 8/1 - Won the bumper at Aintree, had Refinement behind a similar distance as Refinement was beaten by Missed That at Cheltenham, yet Missed That is around Evens and The Cool Guy 8/1, I think Evens on Missed That is an awful price considering the amount of promising looking horses in the field and the fact that he was tiring badly at the end at Cheltenham.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 707 ✭✭✭seabee

    My two tips:

    5:25 Chelt:Mighty Montefalco NAP
    6:10 Kelso: Tribal Dispute !Won!

Yesterday I backed Davids Lad & wild Passion to win and Rathgar beau and Rakkionen each way. Davids Lad 7/2, Wild Passion 7/4, and Rathgar Beau 8/1 all won and Rakkionen came second :) Happy Days!!

Strange race. Callow lake started at 14s and Placed to 7/1. Stutter stared at 20s and Won at 8/1. Hmmm.

Both came 2nd at 16/1 and 9/1. The cool guy was very unlucky, he was going nicely when he seemed to loose his footing on the path that crosses the track, he dropped right out to the back of the field and had to pass every horse again, he must have lost 20 lengths. The trainer said he thinks he would have won otherwise.

Another few each way bets for me today:

2:35 Star Performance 8/1 - Should be fresh after a light season, only just beaten by Spot The Difference at Cheltenham last November on soft ground where Luzcadou finished behind

4:20 Carlys Quest 20/1 - Has been running consistently well this season over 3M on soft ground, one of the few in the race that has actually won over 3 miles. Looks a very big price to me.

4:55 Ransboro 16/1 - Should be well suited by the trip and ground and goes off a feather weight, form of Leopardstown victory over Jasmin D'Oudairies was boosted by Jasmin D'Oudairies victory yesterday.

What's the story with the porno music on the RTE coverage? :p

I know its late, but Beau Colina looks very impressive in the 4.55. Has won his last three races on Heavy and 2 on Soft ground carrying a lot more weight than today. Seems to be building up to it : His last three were 17 , 20 and 25 furlongs , todays is 29. Could be a handy one. At 11/2 now.

My only fear would be What odds.

    I could kiss you, €10 to win @ 25/1 = €260!!!!!!

    Good Man!!!!!!

A very profitable day for me, had 10 each way on Carly's Quest. I also had a few quid each way on Ransboro at 16/1 which came 4th. Add to that a small profit for having Mags benefit and The cool guy each way yesterday and it's been a good week so far.

Lord Alphieross might be worth a small e/w in the first. Has won his only 2 races with BJ Geraghty on his back, the last coming on the 13th of this month over 20f. Todays will be 29 but quotes from his trainer at 20f : "Two and a half miles is that bit short for Lord Alphieross and today's ground (yielding to soft) was as quick as he wants it, so we'll wait and see what the story is come Punchestown time". So he's got the ground and can win at a smiliar distance. Plus Geraghty is on fire this week.
The bad news : he's carrying 11-10 and its a big field.
    Any thoughts?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,757 ✭✭✭masterK

I'll chance another few outsiders today for each bets.

2:00 Star Storm 16/1 - I quite like Lord Alphieross in this but with Paddy Power paying 1/4 the odds on the first five places it might be worth a small bet on Star Storm, has been very consistent all season and should run another good race.

3:45 Pay It Forward 8/1 - Jessica Harrington said that she thinks this horse is very well handicapped for it's first handicap race. It seems to be improving with every race.

4:20 Letterman 33/1 - Although I think Sher Beau and Asian Maze will fight out the finish I wouldn't be surprised to see Letterman sneak a place. In it's only run over hurdles it came second to Queen Astrid, it had washington lad behind and it finished 19 lengths in front of Kill Devil Hill, who has boosted the form since.

4:55 Tycoon Hall 20/1 - Never runs a bad race, will like the ground and is running off the 2nd lightest weight in the race. Has been beaten by Augherskea, but only by 3 lengths and is benefitting from a 3lb weight swing today.

Another decent day for me, I had a fairly large bet on Pay It Forward. I'm sick about Tycoon Hall though, he was absolutely cruising a few furlongs out when he got absolutely clobbered by the loose horse that fell and dropped right out, I think he may have been pulled up.
