Any body check this thing out yet?

I would have loved to have had it back when I was starting to play.

I dunno, bit cheesy and gimmicky for me especially @ the price...I think you'd be better off buying a better amp and a Zoom multi-effects - Still, good implementation of an old idea and a lot more useful than the 'styles' on my Roland keyboard

Ah, come on, it's aimed at kids just starting out. A kid can't spend loads on a Zoom and a keyboard. I'd take that over the Ibanez amp I had!

A lil vox would be what i'd tell a kid to get.

lil mini marshall i'd go for .. doesn't really matter what your 1st amp is really it just has to do its job and amplify the sound... you wouldn't have much idea of tone starting out like...but that is a cool little toy wouldn't mind trying it for about 10 mins until the novelty wore off ... great for beginners though

Does no one else think that the built in drum machine would be a huge help to beginners? How many of us actually used metronome's when we started playing? I'm only getting my rhythm down now. I'll have to go check it out.

i learned using a zoom 707 which had a built in drum machine thing ..not amazing or anything but it really helped...as i pogress i had baggio back me up on the drums so what more could i ask for really... timing is a disaster if u are not naturally gifted that way but a metronome or similar is really really useful..most people just dismiss them for some reason

I'd agree with ya feylya ..I would have loved this starting out , tons of fx ,drum machine and backing tracks class, cd in phrase trainer..sounds decent as well. feck beginners I might get one myself ..!
