Whats the name of the connector found on the back of a motherboard for the new TFT type monitor?
Can i get a converter for to use a CRT with this type of connector. The computer only has one of the new type

I think you are talking about a DVI connector,

normally all TFT screens with DVI on them also have the VGA connection on it aswell

there are adapters for graphics card to convert a DVI plug to a VGA connector but not for the monitor

Check out DVI Connectors to see which type it is, converters usually come with the card, but they can be bought in your local pc store usually.

Yes you can, the new type of connector is called DVI, the old type VGA. You can buy a connector to let you connect a VGA monitor to a DVI video card but not to connect a DVI only monitor to a VGA video card (which I think is what Gilgamesh thought you meant)
