Apple will give you a copy for the price of the media (about a tenner) if you bought after the 12th.

No they wont upgrade Panther much after this, possibly one more update thats about it.
Actually it doesnt suck though, Tiger will make it the complete OS now with all the features (almost) anybody could want well before Longhorn gets here, by the time it does we'll probably be dealing with 10.5, i shall dub Lion.
Ill be getting it first day anywho, Quicktime 7 and Automator is worth the money alone.

Tiger is great ! It's so worth the money for the improved finder and samba networking alone. Not to mention automator, spotlight and the dashboard.I'm loving it.

the apple student/academic deal for tiger is quite good, about 90USD plus free delivery.

you can get your free update to Tiger with the Apple up-to-date programme from their website .. only for people who bought new macs since april 12th. The cost is €17 per machine for 'post and packaging' .. that would be €17 post and packaging per machine even if you bought ten !!!

Er, let's buy a family pack, and it'll be about €40 apiece...
I'm game if anyone else is..
Mods, this maybe slightly naughty, but not a voliation of license agreement.
