does anybody know what the story is with resitting leaving cert subjects from abroad..or is there a story at all??

I'm not sure if it can be done, but you could contact Kilroy's College who offer home-study Leaving Cert courses. I'm not sure whether the offer them to students outside Ireland though. Check out http://www.kilroyscollege.ie/home_study_courses.php?courseid=41 and try contacting them :)

you can resit the leaving cert at any time. you cant pick a certain amount of subjects you have to sit the whole thing again as they no longer let you repeat one subject if you did bad and use it with previous results. you can apply to any secondary school to repeat the year or apply for permission, pay the fees and sit it in an exam centre and study yourself without school and teachers. or theres private schools in galway, dub, cork...... there expensive though. yeates in galway is €7000 for the year.
