Think it has been increased from one year to two years if you take part in seasonal occupations like fruit picking.

there are loads of backpackers everywhere, usually $18-$25+ per night in a dorm sharing. If you are going to be in one place for more then a few days/weeks, get a shared apartment or something, works out way cheaper.

I found it very difficult to get a job. the difficulty was that i really didn't want to get one. however if you're not as lazy as me I'm sure it would no be to bad. depends what skills you have or what you want to do, and what part of Oz too. Do some research before you go on websites etc.

I didn't do as much traveling as some people, but I still saw lots... I started in Perth, did 2 tours with TravelAbout as far as broome - highly recommended. The spent a long time on the Gold Coast as I have family & friends there, and then went to Sydney towards the end.

The Women: Words can not describe... Be prepared for one hell of a shock when you get home thats all I can say...frown.gif They are fantastic. I won't tell you any more, you'll see. The Gold Coast had by far the best women in all of Australia, but then again I did have the pleasure of working Here. and no, I won't get you a job there, you'll have to try yourself...

any more questions let me know.

I spent the last 3 years there ( returned in Jan ) so anything you need to know just ask..
Tell me your backround (education etc..) I might be able to find ya work be fore ya get there.
    :D
Also know the whole sponsorship side of things over there ..
And as for the women Aussies are great fun very friendly but very difficult to become true friends with them ..unless your going out with a girl who is Aussie then your sorted .. you'll spend the majority of your time with Irish / Welsh/ Scots and English.. and you'd be surprised how stunning the irish ladies are with a bit of a tan :D
