has tv3 any plans to broadcast on sky digital?

at the moment we can watch sky and tape(bbc1 or itv).what happens when they close down the analogue system (2010)and we are left with just sky?
will we be only able to tape the programme we're watching? :):):)

For Norn iron-I doubt it at the moment as they are the main protaganists stopping UTV going on Sky in the Republic...so you can imagine what UTV would have to say about them being in the North.

As for IRL analog shut down thats probably a decade away and even then you should be able to pick up ROI DTT in much of the north given the strenght that they plan to use-or at least that they were planning.

Guess we all posted at the same time there - Tony and Earthman have both replied as I did. One issue though is that DTT in the south may well be on Band III which means you'd need a different box in the North.

I think it's been mentioned on the Terrestrial forum that Irish DTT will use UHF. VHF BIII was just an idea, but UHF is now favoured.
