Someone posted on another thread about "remembering" things before they happen, and I was gonna post this in there but i didn't want to hijack someone elses thread.

So I'll ask here if thats ok.

I frequently "see" something happening, and then it actually happens minutes, hours or days after I "saw" it. I would be fully convinced that I saw it at the time, even when my friends tell me I couldn't have......

I don't know how it happens, and I don't do anything to make it happen, so why does it? Also, can I stop it? It scares the life outta me sometimes.

I also have recurring dreams, every single one of them is terrible, for example. in one I am a young girl in victorian times, and I'm running away from the school where they beat me. All I feel is fear as they hunt me, and sometimes I wake up the middle of the night and I can't get rid of that feeling for hours.

Is this totally different to seeing things before they happen, or could it be linked?

Theres also the fact that I can be asleep but have my eyes open, and have a conversation as normal. Drives my boyfriend mad coz he never knows if i'm awake or not!

I'd appreciate some insight, if anyone has any! Is it a common thing, can I control it.....stuff like that.

    :)

this is called precognition. Do a google on the term there might be some useful information (will write more later havent the time right now)
I think you can always take control of your life, sometimes its just a matter of adjusting to the situation.

(my sister always slept like that too :)

I think the dreams are probably a different thing, maybe have a look at the thread on Past Life Regression and see what you think.

Precognition is nothing to be scared of, you may see unpleasant things sometimes but the same can happen with regular sight, and you wouldn't want to lose that. By itself it can't hurt or damage you in any way, altough you may want to be carefull who you choose to talk to about it. I don't know of any way to stop it (i'm too busy trying to find a way to make it work better :) ), all I can suggest is to read up on it from as many different sources as possible. You may find a way to stop it, but if not at least you'll understand it better and maybe not mind it as much.
