    hi folks,

going to full moon party in july with my girlfriend.

has anyone been? if so, can you lead us in the direction of good accomodation that's fairly close to the full moon beach?

would be very much appreciated and would save alot of hassle!

    thanks a million,

    k.

It's best to be on the island in advance to get accom for the full moon party.
    Highly recommended though..

Go to koh phangan for the full moon party. It's only a boat journey away from Koh Samui and you need to look at accomadation in Haad rin.

You need to be there 2-3 days before the full moon party or they wont allow you to book. Staying outside of Haad rin is a bit messy because of the mountains you need to travel over.

    thanks folks

but has anyone been to ko phangnan and stayed there for a full moon party?

can anyone recommend a particular bungalow resort or somewhere?

    thanks again!

I have been there but stayed a little outside Haad rin so can't recommend anything in there unfortunately.

would be happy with anywhere on ko phangnan. doesn't have to be at Had Rin.

I stayed in Haad Rin for the full moon party, arrived about 3 days before hand and just walked around looking for accomodation, got some just off the sunrise beach, can't remember the name, but it was near the end of the beach where the party is. Hadn't too much hassle getting a place. There are nice huts on the other side of the town on the sunset beach... thats where the boats come in if you are coming over from Ko Samui. Sorry can't remember any of the names, too much Thai rum :D

I stayed in Venus Resort on had rin for both full moon parties i went to, its up on the hills, overlooks had rin, nice family runs it.

It was very noisy every night thats the only thing, the bass from the speakers of all the bars on the beach echo from the beach.

We stayed up most nights so it didnt matter :D

I heard an amazing place to stay is bottle beach, but you have to get taxi's to and from had rin.

july might be subject to monsoon influences

Am just recovering this minute from last nights party. We decided to stay outside Hadd Rin to minimize noise and stuff but 3k away is the nearest beach which is where we are and is 1Euro in and out every time you want to go.
http://www.fullmoon.phangan.info/index.cfm?action=fullmoon.accommodation&CFID=364285&CFTOKEN=37492137 has links to accommodation in the area, once you arent directly on the beach noise shouldnt be that much of a problem, there is no real need to stay far away. 3-5 days in advance is plenty aswell.
    Enjoy it
