Battery on Laptop

Ok i dont have my Ac power cable connected to my laptop yet it says in the task tray that it is.When i normally have it disconnected from the AC power it runs on the battery and displays how much battery power i have left.It still works with out been connected to the AC power cable but id like to be able to view how much…
