I am doing a piece for Sunday Indo about single mothers and internet dating and was wondering if anyone on the board is a single mother and uses the internet to meet potential partners or knows of anyone that does.
Would need to do phone interview at very least and also need some pictures (paper might send photographer to you)

I have contacted all the main dating sites in the country but was just seeing if there was anyone on here that was in that position or knew someone. The idea that I would use this method to get laid is bizaare, but different strokes....

Will there be a picture of you in a fashionable and conveniently flesh-revealing dress in front of a computer as is typical in the Sunday Indo? You might mention to your editor that it comes accross as being a bit sad when they do that...

Well, the Indo is a trashy newspaper after all. Perhaps they want to imply that single mothers are all desperate and will resort to any lengths (even internet dating :eek: ) to trap a man. Just a thought.

I for one wouldn't bother to read about it as I don't think anyone would naturally associate single mothers with internet dating. More likely you would associate nerds with internet dating, but that doesn't have the same shock value.

Oky, I know it may be a bit of a generalisation, but if you are a single pregnant mother (to be) the last thing you're gonna want to do is go on a blind date, it's hard enough trying to sourt everything out.

Single mothers with a child are more likely to be looking for a date.

Sorry if I am causing offence by saying that, I don't mean to.

I have to agree with kev, single mothers and internet dating do go hand in hand. All I can say is fair balls to them..
