What did you make of the attack on O'Gara?

I saw 'highlights' of the match and I couldn't believe what was going on.

Then when his coach defended McRae, and his actions? They had the b*lls to cite O'Gara!!

I think the Aussies are so rattled they aren't concentrating on playing football, cause they don't believe they can beat us that way.

Mc Rae claimed that O Gara hit him with his elbow when they went into contact. I find it hard to believe O Gara did this. Looking at the initial contact it would have been obvious had O Gara been intending to hit Mc Rae with his elbow. It looked like a fair hit at a ruck and Mc Rae was not happy about it. Mc Rae may or may not have been caught with an elbow after the first hit but that’s rugby it happens. His reaction was completely over the top.

Bob Dyer defence of Mc Rae is one of the most disgraceful things I have seen from anybody involved in the game. Yes players can lose their heads like anybody else. Yes players do lash out at each other usually under provocation. No it's not right and there never is any justification for it. Bob Dyer like the rest of Australia is intent on unsettling the Lions.

Every chance the Australian media has gotten they have complained about the Lions use of "dirty tactics". Illegal scrumming, lineouts and rucking. Total bull**** but it's a cynical ploy to try and influence the test referee's against the Lions.

I'm not defending the Lions they are more than able to give as good as they have gotten. Danny Grew**** for example is a disgrace and does not deserve to wear the jersey. Every chance he gets he is starting fights, throwing digs. I really hoped for the good of the team that he had have gotten a suspension.

Expect Saturday’s game to start of explosively and I would expect an early sin binning of at least one player from each side in the first half. After the ref can establish control on the game hopefully we can have an entertaining game of rugby.

O'Gara did the right thing in not retaliating, the other guy got banned for 7 months which has to hurt. The Aussies, contrary to popular belief, do not like that sort of contact in their rugby.

Er, no, afaicr he got 7 WEEKS.

Apparently he had an exemplary record before this, been a very good boy...

O'Gara was at the hearing, they asked him his story, he claimed no provokation, McRae said he elbowed & kicked him.

The commission said that they could give between 1 and 12 weeks as a punishment, and that despite his record they were giving him a punishment "towards the upper end" of the scale due to the severity of the crime. Hmm, is it just me, or is 7 actually just half-way betweek 1 and 12, and not "toward the upper end"? The guy shoulda been banned for the season.

Anyways, I asked before, does anyone know whats the story with RoGos injury? He was in blazer for last game...

    Alo.
