Question on the Xbox??

    Hi All
    Bit of a strange weekend, while on a visit to the inlaws my brother in laws PS2 broke, no worries i say, mine is with me we can play Pro Evo 4(with kits etc...) on mine which was in the car, bugger me it also breaks on the same bloody day :mad:
    After the shock of 2 PS2's going in the one day we decide to fork out for a couple of XBox's and pro evo4, Halo, PGR2, PS2 Controller convertor for xbox, Av leads etc....

    Heres the question, My PS2 was modded and the only reson was for Pro Evo, Now i want the XBox to play pro evo but also play online with other peeps on the net. I also want to have my box modded to have all the kits but heard that if this is done that you can not play online with a modded XBox?

    Can any body here clear this up, i will be getting my xbox on Friday and hope to be online on friday night with Pro Evo if anybody is up for a match, i have been on Pro Evo for years so i am an old hand at this so beware ;)

    Also is ther Xbox good online in general?

    IF you have a chip on the xbox which you can disable ie boot in normal mode not into Evo X and you will have to have the origional Disk you can then use XBox live but boot via Evo X or use a copy disk you get barred.

    Dont use it myself still living in the wilderness will have broadband by Sept 2006 Wahheyy

    One rule - if you go online with the mod chip enabled, you will get banned. The ban is on the xbox not your Live account - so signing up again under a new name will not work.

    I have a modded xbox and recently bought a new one to use exclusively online - MS are getting very clever in detecting modified h/w and I dont want the hassle of being banned.

    Having said that - most of the xbox mod chips can be configured to work with an external switch which you can disable the chip from - so just switch off the chip b4 going online.

    Mmmmmm interesting? i have just been looking at Option files for Pro Evo 4 which only need a max drive which i have ordered, If the option file gives me the kits etc i may just stick with that and leave the Modding alone!!!!
