    I thought we had to wait to be automatically upgraded on NTL...

    I don't think they're upgrading the speeds because of the potential sale which is taking place. It will be up to the new owner of ntl to upgrade speeds.

    The quote below is on the NTL UK site but not Ireland :confused::confused:

    Well I'm with NTL:UK and I just went to the above link, filled in my details and I was instantly upgraded.

    worked for you as you are in the UK. wont work for Ireland as Ireland isnt in the UK

    Given that most ADSL products are going to be ramped up to 2mbits, I can't see NTL or their new owners hanging about at 750k for the same price for too long!

    I had eircom BB for 1yr (512k) package, can't say I was over the moon with it,
    Frequent drops, charging me premium rate for calls reporting these drops,major hassle getting my 4 port router running with it, using the speed test here I found my actual
    download & upload speed dropped by 12% over the year.
    With NTL BB (750k) I find that my DL speed are between 88 ~ 150kbs. :D
