...how long can you keep an opened (and re-corked) bottle of red wine in the fridge for?

    Cheers

    White wine should be chilled.
    Red wine shouldn't.

If your not one for the wine and you keep red wine in the fridge then I suppose it doesn't matter how long you leave it to drink it.

It doesn't go off as such (unless you leve it for months) it just oxidises and starts tasting worse and worse... But my original point being - would you even notice/care?

Anyway. After three days it is grand. Not as nice as it should be but if you want to drink it fire away. It'll start tasting more and more vinegary over time. Something like this helps.

And keep your red wine in the hotpress or something - slightly over room temp I think is the nicest. Depends on the wine though.

You did put the cork in it didnt you?

unless the red wine is a very high vintage then it shouldn't be chilled, but seeing ya know nothing about wine, its probably just off the shelf. so it shouldn't be chilled. i agree with lump, throw it out!
