Do you have filters fitted on all individual phones etc..
A little more info might help
Is this a new BB installation (ie has this always been the case)
What speed connection & is speed affected
    What ISP

    From experience...
    - Telephone, sky, fax, CC machine etc connected to your phone system without a dsl filter
    - faulty filter
    - Problem with wiring in your house

Its with Esat BT. Its a new BB installation (well since January). Basically when you make a call, you cannot use the Internet, the "can not find connection to this website" msg comes up. When you hang up you can't connect to any sites for about two mins and then it slowly connects you. Don't know if there are filters on the phone. Sorry don't know any other info. Is there a setting on my computer that I could enable?

I do have a fax machine aswell.

The house is only 4 years old so hope it is not faulty wiring!

How would I know if there is a filter or not?

Your best bet is to disconnect anything that uses your phone
    so you just have...

Socket > Filter > DSL Modem & Phone

See if its still not working.
    - If it is still disconnecting switch the dsl filter with a different one
    - If its working with the layout above, connect everything back to your phone system one at a time making sure to use a dsl filter on anything thats connected to your phone system.

In the end its going to be something physical not some setting on your PC

    Nice Google Image search ;)
They can also look similar to this

If it was a enginer install they may have fitted a faceplate to your socket that has two connections, one for dsl one for phone

Thanks for all the help, i have only just copped it. The situation only occurs when I use my cordless not when I amswer teh phone on the fax or use the fax. The filter is only on the fax/phone. I don't have a filter on my cordless phone connection. Doh!

Will get one and that should solve the problem!
