I think this is sort of relevant for this thread:

Alan Gafney was interviewed on Today FM on Monday, and Matt Cooper(?) asked him what the difference was between Munster and Leinster, having coached them both. He said that the skill level was higher in Leinster, but the Munster lads never get above their station in life and are proud to wear their jersey.

It sounds like Leinster need someone to come in and take no notice of reputations, egos etc - and if the players don't like him, tough sh1t. I can't help feeling that Leinster are a team of prima donnas that really need a kick up the arse.

Did anyone see Gerry Thornley's article in yesterdays Times saying that the players have approached the branch about getting Matt Williams back ?

If you look at the Munster boys, they're Munster players first and tehn Internationals second. With the Leinster boys it's Internationals first and then Leinster second (provided they've no sponsorship obligations/modelling jobs).

As for someone to come in and sort out the egos, in fairness to him Gary Ella did try that and look what happened him...shafted by his own players!

    Interesting.

Well he did leave on fairly good terms (I couldn't remember, so had to google).
