    Hi,
I spent the weekend in Cork a couple of weeks ago, stayed in the new Clarion Hotel on Lapps Quay...really cool hotel.
I came across this little place called Boqueria, a tapas/wine bar bar!!
great little pub/restaurant, how long is it open etc
Cant ever remember it being there b4, lovely spot, nice crowd, are there any other little places like it nestling away in Cork??
    thx

It opened a few months ago and was featured in the Irish Times Saturday supplement recently.

To be honest though, the tapas are only average and overpriced. The wine on the other hand is excellent, but still very expensive. I went in for a coffee one day and it was as if they didn't want to serve me. A bit too pretentious for my liking and I probably will be avoiding the place in the future.

Have to agree with dudara - food is nice but dear, stout is expensive, place feels a bit cramped. The night we were there here seemed to be a few yeah-heads there with their plummy accents and "God thinks I'm great" attitudes..

Like the way they store the wine along the wall behind the tables - I wonder how much has walked...

    What sort of prices?

Anytime I've walked past there, it's been jam-packed.

At the top of Patrick St., cross the bridge - walk straight on and you're on Bridge St.

Yup - Bridge St is one of the few Cork street names I actually know!

Nice place but not a 'bar' bar. (even I don't know what I'm talking about) You wouldn't be having the craic in there, but it'd be a nice place to go with your girlfriend.
