Hey, i'm a bassist who has just recently left my own band (due to mass sucking and bad attitudes). I've got gigging experience at eamon dorans, the village and the voodoo lounge, but is it a problem that I'm 18 (but oh so close to 19). I like your influences, what's your opinion on the yeah yeah yeah's?

dont mind them im open to alot of stuff. not sure if you might be frustrated jamming with us as we have not alot of gigging experience if any? all starting out together. we all have band experience but no gigging yet.

Ha, anything after my old band will be a breath of fresh air! What are you guys called, how many are in the band and how long have you been playing? I'm hoping to find a band that's really willing to go all out on stage and have a good time, instead of just standing there oasis esque, it's been done (by me, among others)

we are only getting together now so havent played together yet, thats what i mean by we are all new. used to playing with others but not each other so we will all be inthe same boat. 3 others in band, singer, guitarist and im the drummer.

Oh, that's cool, that means everyone's in the same boat. Has everyone joined through this place? This way of doing things is kind of new to me! Do you guys rehearse in town?

Ha, no worries on that front, I've been in different bands since I was 13, so now I'm horribly afraid of being alone! ;) Loop studios, where is that, close to temple bar? How often do you guys get together? Are you the only girl (would I be right in assuming you're a girl?). Oh, also, is the fact that I'm not irish a factor? It tends to catch people off guard!

I saw a DVD of them, I almost died, it was fantastic! I'm all over the place taste wise (ha, within the confindes of those who dare to play guitar), but I like most new bands going at the moment, and I have a soft spot for Queens of the Stone Age and the Eagles of Death Metal (don't laugh, you can reallydance to them, they're like a hick, all-male version of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's), and the stones, stone roses, beatles are always good as well. Mark Lanegan is my favorite male singer. You?

Cool, sounds great! Tell you what, is it alright if I just call you now, there's something about leaving my phone number on the internet freaks the hell out of me (I won't get into a rant about that just now).

What do you think of the new album? I do miss Nick, I think this new guy has no character, but he did co write In My Head, so he can't be all bad. Though there's been rumours that he's on his way out as well! I'll give you a ring now and log off, hopefully this turns into something!

talk to you soon, sure we will all meet up soon. And Lullabies to Paralyse is cool, but not as good as Song for the Deaf

I like a bit of everything.... Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Bowie, Blondie, No Doubt, The Start, Human Waste Project, Dusty Springfield, Snow Patrol (BIG fan), the Killers, Muse, Jesse Malin, Garbage, Hole the list goes on and on. I love the flamin lips (performance wise they're excellent). Then of course there's all these songs I like from random bands.
